the shadow proves the sunshine ||

woah

yeah. it's been quite the long time since i've posted here! probably because suprisingly nothing really exciting or funny has been happening - well that is until today. my first bad moment in my learning-how-to-drive career.

My dad and little sister had decided to go to a park about 20 minutes from our house today because the weather has been outrageous for February! 50s and 60s! I wanted to go along and drive because i only need like 11 more hours until i fufill my quota of 60 and can get my lisence! I go out to start the car, but instead of starting it i just turn the battery on while i wait for my dad to come out of the house to the car. ahem. enter hysterical moment of my day. Dad comes out and amy and my mom (who decided to grace us with her prescense), get in the car and I put it in reverse, and go to take the parking brake off, but the car has started to roll backwards! I press on the brake but it's not going down very easily and the car is stilling rolling down our driveway! I press harder on the brake and it starts to slow down, but not in time to hear a crunching sound, like plastic or...ha ha ha, branches! Our car was running over cut branches at the bottom of our driveway! My dad all of a sudden realizes that the car isn't on! Yes - dumb me had forgotten to turn the car on. Hearing the music in the car automatically switches my brain to "car on" mode. aaaah! After stopping on top of the branches, I turn the car on and put it in drive and go back up the driveway - thankfully the underneath of our car wasn't ruined - but by this point I was laughing hysterically. I couldn't beleive i had just done that. Oh My.

and this all took place in the course of about 15 seconds. lol. :D

while sitting in my biology class, (which by the way can be very eventful sometimes) we were discussing what to do for our Christmas partay next week. everybody started talking about what food to bring and they're favorite chips yatta yatta yatta.

this girl in my class said that she might bring cupcakes or a cake. at this point Mrs. Bio teacher spoke up and began talking about how one of her students always brought in some French bread/cake/jelly thing. it sounded really good. she then went on to say that one of her other students (who happens to be a good friend of mine) always brought in pumpkin pie. i burst out laughing. she looked at me and my other friend who was also laughing and said, "Don't laugh. He is a great pie maker!"

well you learn something new everyday. apperantly. i'll have to get him to make me a pumpkin pie and then maybe I'll believe my teacher.

but to tell you the truth I never thought of this guy as a "great pie maker". :)
